Female U18 POE & U18AAA (FMAAA) Open Camps Registration

Jan. 26, 2020

Registration is now open for eligible players who wish to participate in the Female U16/U18 Program of Excellence (POE) or the Female U18 AAA League (formerly the Female Midget AAA League).

All athletes wishing to be involved in either of these programs must attend an open camp to be evaluated for advancement through the respective programs. Athletes must attend the camp in the region that their parent(s) reside.

The Female POE will ultimately select athletes to compete on Team BC at the 2020 National Women's U18 Championship. The Female U18 AAA program consists of zone-based teams that are spread across the province. The teams play a 32 game regular season, followed by playoffs and the chance to compete for the ESSO Cup, the Female U18 AAA National Championship.

The camps are open to all female athletes born from 2003 to 2006 and the cost of the combined camps is $360 to attend.

Camp schedules will be posted to the website one (1) week prior to the start of each camp.

North and Vancouver Island dates will be announced shortly.

Players can be evaluated for Female POE, Female U18 AAA or both programs at the camps.

For those being evaluated for Female POE, athletes will be evaluated for advancement to the Provincial Camp in Shawnigan Lake, July 22 - 26, 2020. The top 80 athletes out of the U16/U18 pool will be invited to advance based on their camp evaluations.

For those being evaluated for the Female U18 AAA, they will be evaluated for the team in their region. Players are not eligible to tryout for a Female U18 AAA team outside their region of residency. Since there are no boundaries in the Lower Mainland, athletes need to determine the team of which they want to play for; they cannot be evaluated for both teams. The league only allows three (3) underage players to be rostered per team. They must be identified within the top six (6) forwards or top four (4) defenders on the team based on evaluation to be eligible.
