News and Announcements
Dear Members of Chilliwack Minor Hockey,
As we come to the close of the 2018/2019 season, it is with mixed feelings that I announce my resignation as CMHA President effective March 25th. I chose this date as I wanted to assist with, and preside over, both Hockey Day in Chilliwack as well as the Juvenile A Provincial Championships we are hosting from March 21st – 24th.
In my 2 1/2 years as president and over 5 years as a board member, I have worked with many dedicated volunteers who put countless hours of effort into our association. From managers and coaches to parents who run the score clock and do the score sheet, all of you are what makes CMHA a great organization.
There are challenges in minor hockey, as there are in all minor sports societies and it requires the members of minor hockey to meet those challenges. I cannot stress enough to the membership of CMHA, the importance of being involved in the governance of your association. Attend the upcoming Bi-Annual Town Hall meeting. At the May Annual General Meeting, vote for those candidates who reflect your core values that are running for board of director positions. Ask to see the financial statements and meeting minutes of the CMHA board. It is your association and the power is within the membership. You are minor hockey.
It has been my honor and privilege to serve this association as president. I thank those of you who have offered your kind words of encouragement and support. I now transition from overseeing hockey for 843 players, to my 3 favorite players…My kids.
Jeremy Mann – President, Chilliwack Minor Hockey Association

Congratulations to Atom Female C1 who defeated their arch rivals Ridge Meadows in an exciting 3 – 1 game last night to clinch their playoff banner! This caps another great season for female hockey in Chilliwack. This year saw the girls dominate in their regular season flight, be moved up to a higher flight for playoffs to compete against stronger teams and went undefeated!
