Registration for the 2018/2019 season is now open!

There is a change to the registration process this season. It requires 2-steps:

  • For Returning Players – Follow the link to https://registration.hockeycanada.ca/registration/?ID=36 and login to your Hockey Canada account. This step is the same as in previous seasons where you select your participant, and the division that he or she will be playing in the upcoming season.
  • New this seasonCMHA is offering an online payment method with TeamSnap! This service allows parents to pay in full with a credit card or enroll in a payment plan to spread out your player’s registration fees over several months:
  • At the end of your registration on Hockey Canada’s website, click on the link on the last page that will take you to the TeamSnap login portal.
  • Register an account with TeamSnap and their easy-to-navigate website will provide you with either a payment in full option, or to stretch the fees until as late as November.
  • For those wishing to pay in the office either with a cheque, debit card or cash, please also login to the TeamSnap website and select the “Offline Payment Option”. This will then allow you to provide the office directly with your players registration fees. Post dated Cheques can still be dated until July 31st.
  • For New Players – Registration Opens June 1st. Additional information will be posted prior to this date to enroll a new player in CMHA.

Chilliwack MHA is now ready to accept registration for our August Rep Prep camps. Please note that we are now using TeamSnap for our camp registrations. Payment will be required at time of registration.

Camps will run as follows:

Early Rep Prep — 13-17 August (Monday to Friday)

Cost = $125 for the 5 sessions. Individual sessions not available

Please note that Rep Evaluations will start as follows:

Goalies Evaluation will be Thursday, August 30th
Scrimmage Evaluations will start Friday, August 31st in the morning and will run all Labour Day Weekend

Dear Members,

I am writing to inform you of my intention to not seek renewal of my contract as Executive Director. I am thankful to Chilliwack MHA for drawing me back to a town that meant so much to me during my Junior Hockey years.

As many of you know the Executive Director position was brought in to address a number of gaps within the Association. I have been working with the Board to identify how Chilliwack MHA can better address hockey operations and address the large and often vague job requirements of the various roles required to support such a large association.

I know for many members there was an expectation that this role would offset itself through fundraising lead by the role itself. The role was a great idea, however, had a lot of lofty goals that together we have not been able to achieve. As Chilliwack MHA looks to the coming season I have recommended that they discontinue the current role and spend the upcoming season revisioning a specific role to address the needs of the community and determine a stable funding stream for it.

I am proud of the work that we have been able to accomplish together and while the initial focus was not coaching and development for this role, this is the work that needs to be focused on within Chilliwack MHA.

Thank you so much for 2 excellent years working for your association. I have worked alongside some excellent coaches, volunteers, and players. I will never forget my time at Chilliwack MHA and will continue to be involved as I plan to raise my family in this community and will be continuing my work with the BCHL Chilliwack Chiefs.

As with all youth sports, Minor Hockey runs on volunteers!

Recently expressions of interest have been sent out and those wishing to coach are encouraged to apply early. We also have several vacant divisional coordinator positions opened.

The following positions are coming up for election at the AGM

  • Director Female Hockey
  • Divisional Director x4
  • Secretary
  • First Vice-President

Process for Nominating:

Email your nomination to the Past President (pp@chilliwackminorhockey.com)

If you are self-identifying a desire to serve in one of these positions, please email and include 2 members who can second and confirm your nomination (these members must be in good standing, and will be contacted to confirm they second and confirm your nomination)

If you are nominating someone, please ensure to Cc them and 1 other member.

Due to the nature of verifying good standing status and nominators, and in keeping with the past practice of the Association we will not be accepting nominations from the floor at the AGM.
